CarefreeChris.com has undergone a bit of a transformation in order to keep up with the times and stay fresh and modern. The old look had gotten a bit stale, so now things up changed, hopefully for the better.

The new style is a wider, magazine-style look, which is focussed towards media content, which allows more room for content, larger resolution images and embedded videos. We feel the change is a vast improvement, and hope you do too.

2010-11 Season Spreadsheet

Examples of the statistics calculated, on both the players and team as a whole, include player appearances, goals and assists, time spent on the pitch, number of games won, drawn and lost, player and team form and more.

So, whats new from last year’s spreadsheet? Firstly, there have been a few tweaks made to make it easier to use. This version also has macros that execute far more quickly and effectively. Charts are now customisable, allowing the user to instantly select data by players, competitions and venues. Finally, to consider the new Premier League rules introduced by the FA, there is a feature to show what the squad status is, how many players are U21 or home-grown and how many squad places are free for foreign players.

Some information such as player transfers, renewed contracts and the first match of the season versus West Brom have been populated to give you an example of how it should be filled in.

Lampard has now scored over 150 goals for Chelsea

Chelsea midfield dynamo Frank Lampard recently achieved the incredible landmark of 150 goals in all competitions and in doing so became the third highest scoring player for Chelsea’s 100+ year history.

To celebrate Super Frank’s amazing feat, a new wallpaper has been uploaded, and is now available to download.

Early photo images of what appears to be the new England Away kit for 2010-12 – and thus also for this year’s 2010 World Cup in South Africa – have been leaked. As the photos only show the kit look when they are being hung, I thought I’d attempt to give an early impression of how the kit will look like from a as-worn perspective, using the England and Chelsea captain John Terry as a model.

The kit is similar in image to the home kit; it is simple, classy and retro. The white bands at the end of the sleeves to break up the main red to add a bit contrast. The Three Lions crest is again in the new style, with that slightly lighter shade of blue and larger size. Personally, I think its a great looking kit – hopefully we’ll see JT leading the England team to many victories in it.
